On the first day of Insomnia Festival we invite the public to attend the seminar Soft Power, Hard Impact

Soft Power, Hard Impact gathers Noura Tafeche, Holger Pötzsch, and a screening of Harun Farocki’s Serious Games I–IV to explore how media systems construct and normalize violence in the digital age.

In The Zionverse, Tafeche exposes the online circulation of propaganda and genocide denial, revealing how social platforms transform ideological warfare into viral content. Holger Pötzsch’s lecture Our universal values are not for everyone traces Western interventions that replaced democratic movements with authoritarian regimes, before turning to how AI technologies consolidate elite power today.

Farocki’s Serious Games investigates the military use of video game technologies, blurring the lines between simulation and combat.

After the programme SASUSU will play propaganda music in the bar.
