Dear nature lovers,
Away from hiking during this hot summer season, let us escape toward north of Lebanon where several islands exist 5.5 km away from Tripoli. We will cruise there by boat that will take us deep into the blue crystal sea around 45 mins to reach the palm island. We will spend a relaxing day on its sandy shores, tanning, swimming in its clear water, and having loads of fun playing beach games.
N.B.:
- We will have a private place for us with a shaded area to enjoy the tropical drinks and fresh fruit to keep you cool.
- We will be on the island at 10:30 am, and we will return back from the island at 5 pm
- You can bring whatever you want like food and water.

Information about the Island:
Covering 5 sq Km and located on the northwest of Tripoli, Sanani, Ramkine and Palm Island together with their surrounding sea make up the Palm Islands Nature Reserve. They are Lebanon’s only true Islands.
Several designations have been given to Palm Islands reserve due to its special characteristics: it has been designated a Mediterranean Specially Protected Area under the Barcelona Convention, an Important Bird Area by Birdlife Convention as well as Wetland of Special International Importance.
Palm Island, the largest of the three islands is also known as Rabbit Island because it used to feature a large population of rabbits which have been removed later on for environmental reason: rabbits were threatening very important plants.
Palm Islands reserve is a resting place for migratory birds such as the grey heron. It also harbors some endangered reptiles such as green sea turtle and Loggerhead turtle as well as endemic sub-species of lizard, bats and a number of sheltering fish.

Required materials : comfortable clothes, swimsuit, towel, aqua shoes, backpack, hat, 3L of water, running shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, healthy snacks.
Fees: 35 USD or equivalent to the LBP market rate (including transportation, guidance, boat trip, shelter and bar setup, beach activities, photos and drinks but does not include medical insurance).
