Every 2nd Saturday of the month CREATE Trinidad (formerly known as Corazón de Trinidad Creative District) hosts a Literary Open Mic with a featured writer. Come listen to our featured writer share their work and then jump up to share writing you created or admire. All ages are welcome to share any genre of original work or work you love. Light refreshments will be provided.
About our Featured Writer:
Donnie Hollingsworth has been publishing poems for 24 years. The most recent ones being “How I Found God in Spain” in Alien Buddha’s April Zine of this year (2025), "Through Winter to Spring in SE Colorado" in Idle Ink, "Full Moon Reflecting off the Peaks" out of South Broadway Ghost Society (both in 2023). 2019's "Genesis", both published in "Chinook" out of Otero Junior College in La Junta, CO. Then, in 2017 "Dagger of Tongues", published through Poehemians (an online journal) and finally "The Angel", which won the "Hot Potato Award" in the 2016 issue (online publication) of "Bewildering Stories". His books of poetry, Tim's Cabin and No Title No Leash, was published by Alien Buddha Press in 2024. He currently lives in Trinidad, Colorado where he sells art at a local gallery.
