Fall Forest Bathing

Hosted by park partner, Virginia Master Naturalists, Merrimac Farm Chapter, space is limited at this event; call (703) 967-2436 to sign up. Forest Bathing is a slow, mindful immersion in Nature that originated in Japan. The guide will suggest voluntary activities called invitations that help participants let go of the busyness of everyday life and immerse themselves in the soothing sensuality of nature. Forest Bathing has many health benefits, including lowering blood pressure, boosting the immune system, and alleviating stress. It also clears the mind and increases creativity.

Wear long pants and walking shoes, bring water and insect repellant for this experience. Meet your guide near the park's visitor center to get started.
