We're excited to invite you to explore a new country through the pages of a novel during our Around The World Book Club hosted by the Quinte West Public Library!

Our monthly selections will offer a diverse collection of voices, cultures, and stories.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
The Spanish Daughter by Lorena Hughes is a historical novel set in early 20th-century Ecuador. When Puri, a young Spanish chocolatier, receives news that her father has left her a cacao estate, she travels to South America to claim her inheritance. But after an attempt is made on her life aboard the ship, Puri disguises herself as a man to uncover the truth and protect herself. As she navigates the secrets of her father's past and the
intrigue of Ecuador's booming chocolate industry, Puri must decide who she can trust—and who may be trying to take everything from her.
