Women's League [2]

Each K1 Speed Traverse City Women’s League event provides two thrilling race sessions: a 12-lap qualifying race and a 14-lap final race for position.

The qualifying race pits racers against the clock to produce the best lap time possible. Racers are then ranked by their fastest lap times and will start the following race from that position. So, if a racer sets the third fastest time, they will start the final race in third position.

The final race is a race for position, so racers will be competing against one another directly, not the clock. They have to make clean passes and keep people behind them if they wish to do well.

In May, the K1 Speed Traverse City Women’s League Championship event will also include a 12-lap practice session. All racers will get to compete at the Championship event. However, only the top 10 points-holders will race in a wheel-to-wheel competition for the Championship podium.

Our Women’s League at K1 Speed Traverse City is for racers 4’10” or taller and at least 15 years old. A minimum of 3 participants is required to run each event. Be advised that if there are 13 or more racers the event time will be increased due to the addition of race heats.
