The Quest for Darrell's New Kidney - an open house "wine & wisdom" fundraiser

Darrell has given so much to his family, his students, and his community. Now, we have the chance to give back—to keep his smile shining and ensure he's here for many more years of love, laughter, and music.

Our friend, Darrell Wilson, is in urgent need of a kidney transplant to overcome hyperaldosteronism, stage 4 kidney failure, and years of misdiagnosis. This life-saving procedure, along with the extensive medications and post-operative care, comes with immense financial burdens. That’s where our amazing community steps in!

What We're Doing & Why:

We are hosting a "wine & wisdom" fundraiser to raise the critical funds needed to cover medical expenses, and to educate our community about living donation and kidney transplant.

What to Expect

Bring your family, friends, and biggest hearts for a memorable evening that will include:

***Food provided at this event
***A cash bar comprised of world-class Left Foot Charley wines and cider
***Personal testimonial from one community member that has recently donated a kidney
***Acoustic music by Steve Clark
***Educational materials provided by the University of Michigan and instructions how to get tested to see if you are a match
***A chance to personally meet and greet Darrell and his family
