Join me for an awesome afternoon of live music, great food, drinks, and community, all to raise funds for the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) — an organization dedicated to helping individuals with physical disabilities live active, fulfilling lives through sports. This will be the first of two fundraisers we’re putting on here in our local community!
If you know me, you know sport has always been a huge part of my life. In 2012, I biked across the country with the Challenge MS team, raising over $30,000 for Multiple Sclerosis. Now, I’m channeling that same energy into a new ultra-endurance journey. This year, I’m honored to ride in the legendary Leadville 100 mountain bike race on August 9 as part of a fundraising campaign with CAF. My goal: raise $4,000 by the end of June — and I need your help to hit that number!
Why CAF? CAF supports athletes of all abilities — from beginners to Paralympians — by providing adaptive equipment, coaching, mentorship, and the resources they need to thrive. Adaptive sports can empower people to push boundaries, find purpose, and experience the joy of movement in ways they may not have thought possible. This event is not just about raising funds — it’s about sharing stories, connecting through music, and coming together to support something truly life-changing. I’m constantly blown away by our cycling community here in Traverse City, and am excited to represent Northern Michigan at the iconic Leadville 100.
