Kids in a Box

Kids in a Box is a wonderful event that brings awareness to the coomunity of the everyday conditions many families endure becuase of homelessness. Come join us for a fun-filled evening! This exciting occasion invites children of all ages to unleash their creativity and imagination by building and decorating their very own cardboard box houses. Participants will be tasked with creating their masterpieces at home prior to the event, where they can then bring their unique creations to share with others on the day of the event. Whether they envision magical castles, cozy homes, or adventurous rocket ships.

Additionally, for older participants seeking community service hours, this event offers a wonderful opportunity to contribute meaningfully while having fun. Let your imagination take flight and come ready for the chance to win prizes for the best house created!

Direction for the Shelter Model house:

• Think about and build what you and your family would live in if you become homeless.
• Must be no bigger than a poster size /example: size of a mission project
• We encourage each participant to include a 50 word or small paragraph on why they created their shelter model and what it means to them
• All shelter models must be at the event no later than 7:00 PM

Every registered participant will receive a T-shirt to decorate and take home.
