Be a Gem Day of Giving

It's time for our Be a Gem Day of Giving! On September 24, 1827, Catherine McAuley opened the first House of Mercy on Baggot Street in Dublin, Ireland on the Feast of Our Lady of Mercy. Since that time, the Sisters of Mercy have served others around the world opening ministries in healthcare, education, and human services.

The Feast of Our Lady of Mercy is celebrated as Mercy Day at institutions sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy around the world. Since fall of 1963, at Mercy High School, this day also serves as Ring Day, when our seniors receive their long awaited gold and garnet rings.
