For October, we have a fun treat in store. We are gonna do another beach cities ride, ending up at the Flight Path Museum @ LAX.
A little info about the Flight Path Museum:
It has a unique collection of airline memorabilia, uniforms, and aircraft models. It focuses on Southern California's aviation history, with exhibits on commercial aviation, and local airport development, all supported by knowledgeable volunteers.
The museum is the only one on the tarmac of a major airport, offering close-up views of aircraft taking off and landing. You can sit by the large picture windows inside or on the benches outside to watch the planes at LAX.
The museum showcases a rich array of vintage airline artifacts, including uniforms (some by designers like Emilio Pucci), luggage, tableware, posters, and flight crew memorabilia.
Exhibits feature a wide variety of aircraft models, from biplanes to jets, and also include a special section on the space race, Apollo missions, and the space shuttle.
While there, you can listen to communication between air traffic controllers and aircraft for a live aviation experience.
Plus, it's right by the airport's private jet terminal, so we may even see some VIP's!
After our visit, we will cruise to Rock 'N' Brews in El Segundo, for some mucnhies and drinks.
Should be fun to check out this gem in our backyard. See everyone there!
