The day includes:

🧘‍♂️Two hours of yoga and meditation from certified instructor and sound healing practitioner Sara Ashdown at the CWA Urangan Hall.

🐋 Four hours of whale watching - on an afternoon cruise courtesy of Hervey Bay Whale Watching.

🫖 Afternoon tea on cruise (lunch not included, see full schedule below for details)

Please note this day will be offered over 4 different dates (Sundays): Aug 10, 17, 24, 31.

About the day:

🧘‍♂️ Yoga and meditation will be held at the CWA Hall, 19 Pulgul St, Urangan, and will be taught by fully qualified yoga teacher Sara Ashdown (Gaia Health and Life Coaching).

Sara is a fully trained group fitness instructor and personal trainer (Cert III/IV) in yoga and pilates.
🐋With Hervey Bay being one of the top whale watching destinations in the world, why not gift yourself and loved ones a wholesome day full of yoga, meditation, humpback whales and friendly community?

Helping Sara on the day is Hervey Bay community event planner, Peta Johansen. She is the director of the Shedding in Torquay, an embodied dance facilitator and a big fan of marine life!

Schedule:
9-10.30AM: Yoga

10.30-11AM: Meditation

11-11.30AM: Walk or drive to Great Sandy Straits Marina (only 5-10 min walk away)

11.30-12.40PM: Lunch* (not included in price - see options below)
12.45PM: Embark for 1PM departure on the lovely Hervey Bay Whale Watch vessel Quick Cat II.

1PM: Depart

1-5PM: Whale watching in the Great Sandy Straits national park, see Platypus Bay and spend time with the humpbacks next to beautiful K’gari, the biggest sand island in the world. There is also a chance to see other marine life such as dolphins, turtles and dugongs. Humpback whales are so amazing, inquisitive and love interacting with humans so here's to a wonderful, heart opening day out on the water.

5PM: Return to Marina where our day concludes. There are restaurants at the marina if you are looking for somewhere for dinner afterwards.

*Lunch options (Please note lunch not included in price).
You are invited to join us for a sit down meal at Cafe Baleanas (we will pre-order meals) to ensure we have enough time. This is what the majority of people chose last year, I will arrange the ordering of meals with you closer to the date.

If this option doesn't suit you, you are very welcome to BYO lunch and we will meet you after the lunch to board the boat.

The Whalewatching tour includes experienced whale watch crew with a lovely local family who provide informative commentary, local knowledge and history. Complimentary tea, coffee and light nibbles. Hydrophone equipped to listen to whale song underwater. Fully licensed bar for snacks and beverage purchases (not included in price). Please note: The Quick Cat II is a non-smoking vessel.

**Swimming with whales: If (and only if) the weather and whale conditions are right, then we may have the exciting opportunity to swim with the Humpback Whales. Please note this is an extra $100 per person to be paid directly to the HBWW (boat) staff during the tour (weather permitting and conditions apply). This is not arranged by Sara, so please check the Hervey Bay Whale Watch website for more information.
