Digging into the past with words and stories in the grounds of Torre Abbey
Dates: Friday 18th July
Location: Meet in the Torre Abbey Learning Lab
Price: £30 with all materials provided
Timings: 10am - 1pm, arrival from 9.45am
The workshop will begin with an exploration of the gardens, we will then lead some creative warm up activities, and then move on to discussions and prompts to move deeper into unearthing the stories the Torre Abbey gardens hold, and capture these creatively, with the option to share these.
All welcome, no previous experience necessary, experienced creatives are welcome to join us to experience the space in a new way and to try new elements of creativity. We will give opportunity to share work created during the workshop, but this will be entirely optional.
Equipment: all equipment will be provided, but you are welcome to bring any sketchbook / notepad, or other materials that are light enough to carry around outside.
Accessibility: Torre Abbey is a mostly-accessible venue. The workshop will take place in the garden with an indoor base - more info via booking link. These workshops are LGBTQ+ affirming and neurodivergent friendly.
Refreshments: Torre Abbey has a café for hot drinks and snacks. You can also bring your own.
