Always wanted to play the ukulele? Now’s your chance! 🌿✨
Join us for a 4-week Introductory Ukulele Course for Adults as part of the HBNC’s Local Learning Network. This fun, beginner-friendly program will help you learn the foundations of ukulele playing while enjoying music, connection, and community.
Over 4 weeks, you’ll:
Learn the different types of ukulele
Practice tuning and basic chords
Play a few popular songs
Connect with like-minded learners
No instrument? No problem! Ukuleles are provided for in-class use (or bring your own if you prefer).
📍 Where: Urangan Community Wellness Centre, Elizabeth St, Urangan (opposite Miller St)
📅 When: 4 x Tuesdays – Sept 2, 9, 16 & 23, 2025
🕙 Time: 10:30am – 11:30am
💲 Cost: $20 per person (covers all 4 sessions, tuition, notes & tea/coffee)
👉 Open to adult beginners aged 16+

Jim Daniell and Mez Smith, founders of the Humps Ukulele Group in Hervey Bay, have kindly donated their time and expertise to share the joy of ukulele with the community. With over 200 members and 9 years of strumming together, they’ll make sure you’re playing along in no time! 🎶
