Top Gun is a high-octane action drama centered on Lieutenant Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, a talented but reckless U.S. Navy fighter pilot. The film combines thrilling aerial combat sequences with personal drama and iconic 1980s style, ultimately following Maverick's journey from cocky maverick to respected pilot. It became a cultural phenomenon and a defining film of the decade.
