Often described as television’s most ambitious and uncompromising work of art, The Return (2017) is a hypnotic, terrifying, and hilarious continuation of the story that began in 1990. Over 18 parts, Lynch takes audiences to strange new dimensions while revisiting beloved (and haunted) Twin Peaks characters decades later. It has long been a “white whale” for Lynch fans to see theatrically, and now it’s finally happening.

Parts 1 -3 Synopsis:
25 years after Laura Palmer told Agent Dale Cooper “I’ll see you again in 25 years,” Twin Peaks returns — and nothing is the same. Cooper remains trapped in the Black Lodge, while his sinister doppelgänger roams free in the outside world. Strange visions, mysterious boxes, and violent murders ripple through Twin Peaks, Las Vegas, and New York, hinting at an even deeper darkness than before. These first chapters set the stage for a cosmic journey into the unknown, blending the uncanny small-town atmosphere fans remember with a new, unsettling vastness.
