Tavern RPG: Dungeons & Dragons 5e @ CHEFS HALL in Downtown Toronto

Ever wanted to try a role-playing game? This is your chance! Welcome to what we lovingly refer to as our Tavern RPG Tables. Our events feature a rotation of game experts and game systems, so there's always a new world to explore in a one-shot format.

Whether you're a seasoned gamer or new to the world of roleplaying games, this event offers something for everyone. Come as a group or solo, these are open to play, community tables as a part of our General Board Game Nights.

Age recommendation: 19+

What is ?: A cooperative, storytelling game where you and other players take on the roles of different characters within an adventuring party. As you play, your characters will make friends and enemies, fight monsters, discover loot, and complete quests. There are dice and basic rules involved, and often maps and miniatures or tokens, but the tools that come into play most often are the imaginations of the players.

General Admission Tickets and Private Tables: Tickets and tables for this event include access to the CHEFS HALL lounge, and support from our on-site game expert to lead your gaming experience. In addition, they will be ready to help you with player introductions and to run a how-to-play tutorial for your table for anyone new to the game system selected for the night. Tickets are priced and sold per person.

Thanks to the generosity of CHEFS HALL we will have the full lounge to dine in for the night and play games! To find the hall, from either entrance, go up the stairs, through the food vendors, and it's beside the drinks bar on the upper level.

Changeling Membership Admission: Our Changeling Membership includes event discounts for our paid subscribers. After just two events in a month our members save money, with a potential for over $80 in savings monthly! Each Membership ticket must have a single individual corresponding Patreon membership subscription. Proof of subscription will be required at the door.

About : We are a collective of game instructors who host both public and private game experiences in Toronto and together create game content for YouTube. Our mission is to help folks find the right games for their tables and to create safe, accessible, and welcoming community spaces to play games and make new friends along the way.

Info: Meet your fellow players and Game Master.

Info: When the story opportunity arises, there will be a short bio-break sometime in the adventure. Game length may vary, but the game will end at or before 10 PM when the venue closes. If any new players are in attendance, a brief how-to-play tutorial will be offered at the start of the game.

Info: Depending on the adventure, you may decide as a group to stay late and finish the story, or, grab a board game and join the social! Please help us return the space to CHEFS HALL on time for their staff to close the building by clearing your tables and packing up by 10:00 PM. Thank you.
