Square Dance in support of Danforth Grow Hope

The first-ever Danforth Grow Hope square dance fundraiser evening will be held at 7 pm, Friday, October 10, 2025. It will be a fun evening in the church gym, where you will learn dances while making a difference in addressing world hunger needs.

Every year, churches along the Danforth contribute acres to a crop grown in the Stouffville area to address hunger needs in the world through Canadian Foodgrains Bank. The Foodgrains Bank distributes the proceeds of the sale of such crops to people experiencing worsening hunger, even famine, and also to smallholders farmers (to improve their farm output), where most needed around the world.

Funds raised are matched up to four times thanks to a grant from the Canadian Government.

There are numerous similar projects across the country, and the result is a huge contribution of food and increased food security to nearly a million people in need. This year, the six participating Danforth Grow Hope churches are holding a first-ever square dance at East End United Regional Ministry's Eastminster Campus to raise fun and funds.

This square dance event will help all of the participating churches to meet their fundraising goals.

This event is an opportunity to mingle with church neighbours, and an appeal for contributions during the evening will support the vital work of the Foodgrains Bank.

Tickets for admission are $10, and you are invited to consider making a contribution towards the sponsorship of acres at the event, as you are able, of course!
