Sam Astaroth's inhumane vocal savagery explores the modern dynamic cross-genre realm. Diverse influences from Ghostemane, Corpse, Scarlxrd to Kim Dracula, Witchz, Ic3peak to Slipknot, Dir En Grey, Mayhem combine to bring forth a sinister original experience.
Over 20 years vocal mastery in extreme metal growling, rapid-fire rap delivery, and gothic alternative singing has allowed Sam to release over 100 songs, gain over 5 million streams, and collaborate with artists worldwide and perform across Canada, UK and USA.
Sam Astaroth's live performances are spectacles of artistry and passion. They are full-scale theatrical events. Each show features unique costumes, intricate visual storytelling, and dramatic staging. Often incorporating props, dancers or performers, Astaroth creates a fully immersive atmosphere that engulfs live audiences into his dark and demonic world.

A Primitive Evolution (A.P.E.) is a Toronto-based alternative rock band known for fusing hard rock with emotionally charged songwriting and immersive soundscapes. The band features vocalist/guitarist Brett Carruthers (current bassist and collaborator with The Birthday Massacre), drummer Stu Dead, and bassist Steph Misayo Seki, the trio has cultivated a sound that blends industrial grit with melodic depth.
A Primitive Evolution has toured internationally, sharing stages with iconic acts such as The Sisters of Mercy and PIG, further establishing their presence in the global dark rock and industrial scenes. Since 2019, Owen Mackinder of The Birthday Massacre has joined the band as a live keyboardist, adding a new dimension to their dynamic performances. The band has also performed at major Canadian festivals including Canadian Music Week, NXNE, and Indie Week, earning praise from industry figures such as Alan Cross and George Stroumboulopoulos.
Their third album, Becoming, released in 2018 through Metropolis Records, was recorded at their very own Desolation Studios in Toronto. The album features collaborations with Ian D’Sa (Billy Talent), who contributed as both producer and co-writer, alongside engineer Kenny Luong (Metric, Cancer Bats). Tracks like “Ghost” and “Close Your Eyes” showcase their ability to merge heavy guitar riffs with atmospheric synths and introspective lyrics.
Influenced by artists like Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, Tool, The Prodigy, and Radiohead, A Primitive Evolution crafts a sound that is both raw and refined—delivering a visceral, melodic experience that resonates deeply with fans of dark and powerful music. The band is currently working on their next full-length release, which promises to yield some exciting new collaborations and further evolve their signature sound.

Hailing from Toronto and flaunting a deep personal relationship with the pageantry of the macabre, Phantom High is making their mark on a scene that too often leaves the “fun” out of “dysfunction”. The band has launched with a mission statement to bring authenticity, conviction and theatrics back to a genre that centers on navel-gazing and nihilism.
The roots of their inspiration are easy to see for veterans of the golden days of nu-metal, alternative and glam, drawing energy as much from horror in film, anime and literature as from the music genres that inform their hard-hitting live show.
