Justice for JahVai #StopTheGunViolence Rally

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of JahVai Roy, a fun-loving, innocent, brave-hearted, and inquisitive 8-year old boy who touched the lives of many.

In a senseless act of violence, JahVai lost his life to a stray bullet in the early hours on Saturday August 16th 2025, while asleep in his bed next to his mother.

We are asking Toronto to stand in solidarity with us and join our rally on Friday August 22nd @ City Hall (100 Queen Street West) to stop gun violence, to call for a citywide shutdown that demands urgent action against the rise in gun violence affecting our communities.

We demand justice for JahVai, please stand with us, speak out, let’s demand safety, justice and accountability. We are encouraging all of Toronto to participate in this rally in a citywide shutdown, we hope to see you there.
