Working with hot iron is a unique crafting experience, one of the oldest known.
In this workshop you will take a piece of mild steel and work through the steps required to transform it into a personalized toasting fork for the campfire or BBQ.
There are no prerequisites for this class however, the environment is HOT and loud. The project is manual labour intensive. The class runs 4 hours with a 30 minute break. Some level of stamina will be required. Closed toe shoes (leather work boots recommended), Cotton Shirt, and Jeans are recommended. Hand and Eye protection will be provided. NO SYNTHETIC FIBRES, NO LOOSE HAIR OR CLOTHING! FACE MASKS ARE OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED.
PARTICIPANTS MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.

Your instructor is a certified Blacksmith having trained at the Haliburton School of Art and Design. You will be in good hands.
