Hit Like A Girl
https://hitlikeagirl.bandcamp.com/
Hailing from the streets of Philadelphia, Hit Like a Girl isn't just a band; it's a raw, expression of emotion, crafted by the visionary nonbinary front person, Nicolle Maroulis (they/them). With a sound that resonates with the soul and lyrics that cut to the core, Hit Like a Girl delves deep into the complexities of love and loss, inviting listeners to explore the tangled web of human connection. The band also uses their platform to uplift the nonprofit organization No More Dysphoria that helps trans/gender non-conforming individuals with direct aid towards their gender affirming journeys.
Biitchseat
https://biitchseat.bandcamp.com/
Unabashedly poppy and shimmery, Biitchseat was formed in Cleveland in 2017 by best friends and guitar players Talor Smith (she/they) and Kristin Schmit (she/her). The pop sensibility and sparkle in their music is only matched by their live performances, which are always energetic and, at times, captivating and vulnerable.

Fern Sully
https://fernsully.bandcamp.com/
Fern Sully is an indie emo band from Toronto, weaving raw, heartfelt lyrics about love, loss, and the journey of healing. With a sound that channels the spirit of '90s alt rock, they take inspiration from bands like Swearin', Tigers Jaw, and Remember Sports. Known for their intimate and cathartic live shows, Fern Sully creates an atmosphere that feels like hanging out with friends at band practice—vulnerable, honest, and full of warmth. All four members identify as queer, and their music speaks to the power of connection, both personal and shared. Whether on stage or in the studio, Fern Sully brings a unique energy, inviting listeners to embrace the messiness of life with open arms.

Blush
Blush is a queer indie pop band redefining the sound of Toronto’s DIY scene. Formed in 2022 by four close friends—Lauren Beatty (vocals), Sandra Annan (guitar & vocals), Brooke Mallory (bass), and Ash Vols (drums)—the group has quickly built a reputation for turning raw intimacy into cathartic, communal release.
Blending garage-rock grit with lush, slow-burning balladry, Blush crafts songs that ache with heartbreak while glowing with tenderness. That duality has resonated: they sold out their debut show at Toronto’s legendary El Mocambo for CJ Wiley’s Big Gay Night, and they’ve already shared the stage with queercore icons Pansy Division. This year, they were spotlighted in Exclaim!’s Class of 2025 showcase, and carried their sound westward to Saskatoon’s Sapphic Saturdays, connecting with queer prairie communities along the way.
At the heart of Blush’s music lies a lyrical vulnerability—stories of love, longing, and queer identity—that transforms each performance into a space where outsiders feel like insiders, and anyone can get swept up in the rush of recognition. Their debut single, “Forget All The Things” (released July 9), marks the beginning of a new chapter, with their first 7-song EP slated for Spring 2026.
Blush isn't just a band—they’re a heartbeat in Toronto’s queer underground, steadily carving their place as one of the most vital new voices in contemporary indie pop.
