The films are hot, but the Revue’s AC will be cranked for the films in this summer’s Heat Wave lineup.



Heat Wave at the Revue Cinema, a lineup of the greatest summer movies ever made, continues on July 30th with the summer cult classic, THE ADVENTURES OF PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT with an introduction by Hold Up curator, ALICE ROSE!



Boots down the house for this sun-soaked tale of three drag performers who embark on a transformative road trip across the Australian outback. As they travel in their lavishly decorated bus named Priscilla, the trio navigates personal struggles, societal prejudices, and the bonds of friendship, all while delivering unforgettable musical performances and looks to leave you gagged. Whether you’re revisiting this cult classic or experiencing it for the first time, Priscilla offers a blend of laughter, heart, and glittering spectacle that will leave you inspired all summer long.



Directed by Stephan Elliott, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert received an Academy Award for Best Costume Design and has since become a cultural touchstone for its fearless embrace of LGBTQ+ narratives.
