Miriam (Catherine Deneuve), a beautiful vampire, preys on NYC clubgoers with her vampire lover John (David Bowie). When John suddenly begins to age rapidly, he seeks out the help of Sarah (Susan Sarandon), an expert on premature aging. However, the insatiable Miriam wants Sarah for herself and seduces her, leaving Sarah with an increasing thirst for blood.
One of the most revered vampire films in the Goth community, thanks to the opening scene featuring the band Bauhaus, Tony Scott's (TOP GUN, TRUE ROMANCE) feature-film directorial debut bursts out of the gate with his trademark frenetic style and heightened realism. Fear of the sun and fangs take a backseat to the eroticism and eternal yearning of these stunning creatures who stalk the post-punk nightclubs of NYC instead of the gothic castles of Eastern Europe.
