Fair Chances Job Developer Toolkit Training Session

At the beginning of 2025, the John Howard Society of Ontario launched the Fair Chance Hiring Job Developer Toolkit. This training session will take a look at that toolkit and its resources, as well as how to make best use of its components. In the workshop, we will explore some of the toolkit’s key components, including looking at how the criminal justice system impacts individuals and exploring how to navigate job seeking and maintaining employment with a criminal record. We will also look at ways to address common barriers and challenges for justice-involved job seekers, how to pitch employers on fair chance candidates and discover effective methods to prepare clients for job interviews and workplace integration.
