Sobeys is a "Proud Sponsor" of the Blue Jays for giveaways, posts, etc.
They have been in partnership and boasted this for years.
The Blue Jays games are highly attended and offer a perfect opportunity for us to raise awareness amongst a large audience.

Join Mercy For Animals volunteers to demand Sobeys to publish a time-bound plan for fulfilling their pledge to eliminate extreme confinement for hens in their egg supply chain.
In 2016, Sobeys and their parent company, Empire, publicly promised to stop sourcing eggs from caged hens by 2025.
Years later, despite ruling over some of Canada’s largest and most profitable grocery brands, Empire retracted their commitment deadline in 2021, stating that they would not meet their original deadline.
Sobeys promised to publish an updated plan for finishing their transition but has yet to share how and when they plan to fulfill their cage-free promise.
We’re urging Sobeys to publish a time-bound plan for fulfilling their pledge to eliminate extreme confinement for hens in their egg supply chain.
