As one half of the iconic duo Pete Rock & CL Smooth, he helped define the golden era of hip-hop with timeless tracks like “They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)”, “Straighten It Out,” and “Lots of Lovin’.” Known for his poetic delivery and soulful storytelling, C.L. Smooth remains one of the most respected lyricists to ever bless the mic.
