This is your opportunity to drift back in time to the Masquerade Balls of the Renaissance, into the allure of our fantastical evening of entertainment and mystery amongst the aristocracy of the Summer Court of our Madame, Titania, Queen of the Fairies.
On September 6th, PBTo celebrates our two year anniversary in the ballroom of Theatre Gargantua, located in Toronto's St. Anne's Church. The Byzantine-style architecture of the church has an air of history and mystery that makes for a perfect setting of opulence and reverence for this night of wit and whimsy.
Our evening begins with a Red Carpet experience outside the venue at 8PM. Once you enter our ballroom, replete with resplendent decor including drapery, floral arrangements, and lavish beverages, you will be whisked away from 2025 and into 1425! Masked poets will greet you at the door, and if you're lucky you might spot a fairy or two...
From 9PM onwards the fun continues with the fabulous Cabaret we have become known to curate! Hosted by Madame Titania and featuring a lineup of incredible poets, musicians, storytellers, and burlesque performers: A Cinematic Masquerade is a night not to be missed! The Phantom of the Opera, Romeo and Juliet, and characters from Eyes Wide Shut, Labyrinth, and 50 Shades Darker are likely to be there... Will you?
We invite you to experience the intimacy of private readings with our incredible poets when the show concludes, to stay and have a dance to the incredible music of DJ Film, and to see where your boldness takes you. After all: there is a certain magic to anonymity.
