A little about the Daily Bread Food Bank:

The Daily Bread Food Bank is a crucial non-profit organization that serves as a massive distribution hub, supplying fresh and shelf-stable food, as well as prepared meals, to over 200 food programs across Toronto. It is vitally important to the city, acting as the primary emergency food safety net for hundreds of thousands of Torontonians, with one in ten now relying on food banks due to rising costs and insufficient wages. are essential because they allow the Daily Bread to purchase food in bulk at wholesale prices—stretching every dollar much further than individual grocery purchases—and to secure high-priority items like fresh produce, dairy, and protein, ensuring clients receive nutritious, culturally appropriate food. They also fund the organization's critical advocacy work to address the root causes of poverty and food insecurity.
