Aymann Ismail is an award-winning Slate magazine staff writer with a particular focus on identity and religion. He’s the creator of the Slate video series "Who's Afraid of Aymann Ismail?," in which he offers an intimate portrayal of American Muslims, and he also hosted "Man Up," —a podcast exploring men, relationships, family, race, and sex—which seeks to provide a blueprint for navigating discussions of masculinity.
Beatriz Hausner is a Toronto poet and literary translator. Recent works include The Oh Oh (2025), She Who Lies Above (2023) and Beloved Revolutionary Sweetheart (2020).
