Art or Radical Acceptance

We’ll look at what acceptance is and what it is not. Acceptance does not mean liking, agreeing with, or wanting what’s happening. Rather, it’s the practice of releasing the exhausting struggle of pushing reality away.

Through an educational and interactive format, we’ll weave together teaching, discussion, storytelling, and gentle somatic practices. We’ll reflect on what we may be struggling to accept and gently explore how to move through the barriers that keep our minds and hearts stuck. Using simple somatic exercises, we’ll notice what non-acceptance feels like in the body and the shift that can happen when we begin to soften our resistance.

You will leave with tools to help you soften resistance and cultivate a more easeful relationship with life as it unfolds.
