Step into the timeless world of Charles Dickens and Victorian London to hear a dramatic reading of the story that has become an inseparable part of Christmas. Join us for a heartwarming afternoon as our performers bring this story to life:
Eric Peterson:
Stage, television and film actor, known for his roles in Billy Bishop Goes to War, Street Legal, Corner Gas and This is Wonderland. He is the recipient of several ACTRA awards for acting excellence and the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award.
Marilyn Lightstone
Stage, television and film actor, writer and painter. You’ll know her as Miss Stacey in Anne of Green Gables and Road to Avonlea. She hosts an evening programme, Nocturne, on Classical 96.3 radio station.
Maggie Helwig
Poet, novelist, social justice activist and Anglican priest (St. Stephen-in-the-Fields). She is the winner of the 2025 Toronto Book Award for her book Encampment: Resistance, Grace and an Unhoused Community.

The Ault Sisters, a Canadian vocal trio featured on the Zoomer TV show, “Your All-Time Classic Hits Parade”, seen on Friday nights at 8:30pm
David Warrack, accompanying Marilyn Lightstone on the piano: a composer, arranger, lyricist, librettist, musical director, conductor, pianist, and producer. He has created or collaborated on 63 professionally produced musicals, including some of the longest running productions in Canadian theatrical history, over a career spanning 34 years.
The proceeds for this performance will go directly to the Grace Church on-the-Hill Outreach Committee, which supports several community initiatives, including the Churches-on-the-Hill Food Bank , Santa Sacks for Haven Toronto, Friday Food Ministry at St. Thomas’ Anglican Church, and the Hot Lunch Program for the unhoused at St. Mathew’s Cathedral in Timmins, Ontario.
