Christmas Gonk Pottery Workshop

Step into the holiday spirit with this fun and relaxed workshop, perfect for makers of all levels. You'll learn how to hand-build your very own 3D Christmas Gonk sculpture using traditional pottery techniques, adding a touch of festive charm to your creations.

Throughout the workshop, I’ll guide you through the process of shaping, sculpting, and decorating your Gonk using colourful slips, bringing its character to life with jolly hats, bushy beards, and a sprinkle of Christmas magic. No experience is necessary – just bring your creativity and a bit of festive cheer!

All materials and equipment will be provided. Tea and Coffee will be available throughout the event. The only thing you need to bring is an apron and some festive cheer.

After the workshop, I will carefully take your Gonk sculpture home and fire it in my kiln. These sculptures will be glazed using a transparent glaze. I will try my best to have your work ready for collection before Christmas. I will let you know the date and time to collect from Nancy Potter House.
