Welcome to Choose Your Own Adventure Fridays—a low-demand, high-impact social group where you can show up exactly as you are. Born from a therapeutic group so meaningful that participants refused to let it end, this weekly gathering has become a cornerstone for routine, social connection, and something to look forward to at the end of the week. After convincing me (against all odds) that keeping it alive as a social group was a great idea, we’re here—and you’re invited.

What to Expect:

This space is intentionally relaxed and low-demand. Bring whatever feels good for you to do in a group setting:

• Work on your assignments
• Journal
• Craft
• Play on your Switch
• Simply sit and enjoy the vibes

The only ask? Keep it minimally disruptive for others sensorily.

For those wanting a bit more structure, I’m forming a group to create a side hustle/micro business from scratch—together. It sounds huge, but hear me out. We’ll brainstorm everything:

• A name and brand
• How to fund it
• What the product/service is
• Where to sell it and how

We’ll build it step by step, leaning into each other’s knowledge and skills to create something we’re all proud of. If you already have a product or service and need help navigating the micro business side of things, come along and learn with us!

What to Bring:

• Your own supplies (crafts, journalling, assignments, etc.)
• Lunch/snacks and anything else you think you’ll need to be comfortable

Important Notes:

This group is free, but I want to be transparent that running it comes at a significant cost. If you have the means to support this space—whether by donating, sponsoring a Friday as a business (we'll shout your name and support from the rooftops!), sharing a skill in a workshop, or through NDIS funding if this aligns with your goals—I’d love to chat about ways to keep this sustainable.

As this is a voluntary service I’m running, I’d really appreciate it if folks bring their support workers, parents, or carers if they require tailored support or co-regulation. Having said that, I’m always open to making the space as accessible and accommodating as possible.

Supervision Reminder:

Anyone under the age of 12—whether socially, developmentally, or chronically—must be supervised by a responsible (ish) adult at all times.

Cost: Free (donations or funding options welcome)
