Aubstration
Gordon is an Audio Artist, interested in the juxtaposition of sound, sight, science and spirituality. Always looking for the next unheard of sound, his journey began with the classics, and continues to grow, studying all genres of music, sound, sound art, avant-garde, free improvisation, and deep listening.
Realizing musical sound is in itself a language, he seeks to communicate positivity and understanding via unfettered sonic structures. Gordon's musical journey traversed orchestra, marching and rock bands, jazz combos, free improvisation, electronic origins and manipulations while keeping both feet in analog and digital realms.
He has performed in large venues, small clubs, immersive domes, and outside theaters and environments individually and with groups both large and small. He continues to compose and record and is always open to collaboration.

Playing In Tongues
As Playing in Tongues, I create sonic environments that explore cosmic and inner spaces. My work evolves slowly through textural drones and subtle melodic elements that emerge and dissolve organically.
I build these soundscapes using modular synthesis, processed field recordings, and acoustic instruments. The music often hovers between recognition and abstraction – familiar enough to connect with, yet strange enough to challenge perceptions. My compositions develop patiently, inviting listeners into a meditative state where time feels suspended. I'm drawn to the spaces between notes and the natural decay of sounds, letting harmonies shift gradually beneath the surface.
Each performance becomes its own unique journey. While I plan certain structural elements, I leave a lot of room for spontaneity and responsiveness to the moment and space we share.
My influences include ambient pioneers and contemporary experimental artists, especially Pauline Oliveros, Nils Frahm, Boards of Canada, Ry Cooder, and Tim Hecker.

Infrasubcontra
Infrasubcontra is a tuba-doom duo from New Jersey. Tuba and Euphonium (and other brass instruments) are played in improvised/semi-composed drone duets with pedals and synths.
Infrasubcontra performs high powered low brass electro acoustic music with a focus on drone, depth, and disassociating textures. Their music is improvised and bass heavy, taking influence from a wide range of American underground and academic musical traditions.

The event will be held at Unitarian Universalist Church at Washington Crossing Church at 268 Washington Crossing Pennington Rd, Titusville, NJ 08560. Admission is $10 (cash only), with all proceeds to benefit the UUCWC, which has kindly provided the venue for the series. Doors open at 7:30 pm.
