Since 2019, Mass N Tha Grass Music & Arts Festival has been bringing together musicians, artists, entrepreneurs, and supporters for a one-of-a-kind 2-day camping experience. What started as a modest backyard gathering in Tyrone, PA has grown into a full-scale event at the Sinking Valley Fairgrounds — also home to the Sinking Valley Farm Show, a community tradition for over 90 years.
Our goal has always been simple: inspire people to chase their creative passions, build meaningful connections, and bring culture and hope to a region that needs more of both.
Over the last five years (excluding 2020), we’ve featured over 200 musical acts across a wide range of genres — from folk, indie rock, and classic rock, to metal, hip-hop, EDM, ambient, and beyond. Our lineup reflects our own diverse taste and intentionally breaks down barriers between genres and people. No other local event brings this kind of musical variety under one roof — or sky.
To date, we’ve invested around $20,000 directly into local and regional artists, and we’re proud of that. For many who’ve attended, this was their first-ever music festival. And for us, as organizers, the stories, memories, and feedback we get from the community keep us going. It's not always easy. Between rising costs and countless hurdles, we’ve had to fight to keep this alive — but we keep doing it because we believe in the power of music, art, and human connection.
