Course Description:
Come as a family or in pairs, working in the artist’s studio and sculpture garden for a fun and creative morning exploring drawing, printing, and sculpture. All welcome, no experience necessary.
Choose an option and get in touch:
Option 1: Monoprinting workshop. Using a still-life setup in the studios, students will explore monoprinting techniques, from simple direct prints to additive and subtractive methods, with the chance to use the studio’s printing press.
Option 2: Cyanotype workshop. Using found objects and botanicals, students will experiment with cyanotypes — a magical sunlight-based printmaking process.
Option 3: Botanical plaster relief plaque. Students will create unique plaster casts from real plants and flowers, starting with simple impressions and building more complex compositions.
Option 4: Drypoint workshop. Using a still-life setup, students will learn drypoint printmaking by scratching into plates, inking, and printing with the studio’s press.
