Sunteți invitați (să luați parte) la o discuție – plimbare în ‘răcoarea’ postindustrială, un parcurs cu trei stații, atelierul și clubul muncitoresc, la suprafața, urmate de o instalație imersivă subterană.
„Underground Selfie” elimină barierele teoretice și tradiționale, reconsideră relația dintre spațiul fizic, identitatea personală și reprezentarea de sine, și deschide public atelierul artistului Dan Palade, un spațiu de lucru, reflexie și istorie personală, expandat în halele postindustriale ale societății MULTIM.
„Dan Palade glisează între ‘spiritualitatea picturii’ și răcoarea postindustrială.
Agenda lui este complexă în sine și complicată în sens tehnic.
Dan Palade este fascinat de formă. Mai exact de ‘Grundformen’.
La un capăt suprafețe de culoare roz - electric + acid, idealism ‘blue sky’ + ‘blue dream’, frenezii nostalgice și la celălalt capăt emoții corozive, periculoase + arhitectura industrială, silozuri, pompe mecanice, dealuri golite și nori de cianură, clădiri de vamă pustii.
Modelul preferat de prezentare este o rețea, un grilaj, o dungă.
Formele timpului / un timp istoric, un timp personal / sunt forme tehnice.
Spațiul este tot tehnic – hale, subterane – ‘un underground tehnic care devine un underground personal’.” LD

You are invited to join a discussion–walk through the post-industrial “coolness,” a route with three stops: the artist’s studio and the former workers’ club on the surface, followed by an immersive underground installation.
“Underground Selfie” breaks down theoretical and traditional barriers, reconsiders the relationship between physical space, personal identity, and self-representation, and opens up the studio of artist Dan Palade to the public—a space for work, reflection, and personal history, expanded into the post-industrial halls of the MULTIM complex.
“Dan Palade glides between the “spirituality of painting” and post-industrial coolness.
His agenda is complex in essence and technically intricate.
Dan Palade seems fascinated by form. More precisely, by Grundformen.
At one end: powder-pink color fields, “blue sky” idealism + “blue dream” nostalgia, euphoric frenzies.
At the other: corrosive, dangerous emotions + industrial architecture, silos, mechanical pumps, hollowed-out hills and clouds of cyanide, deserted customs buildings.
His preferred mode of presentation is a grid, a mesh, a stripe.
The forms of time / historical time, personal time / are technical forms.
Space, too, is technical – halls, undergrounds – a “technical underground that becomes a personal underground.” LD
