Are you ready to kick up your heels & have fun this Winter?
Kelly from the Amore Food Shop & Cafe & South Canterbury Crop Swap has decided to don her event organizer/dance teacher hat again & organize this event instead of the usual winter crop swap pot luck dinner & your invited & we at Amore are very excited to bring this event to you & hope you can SAVE THE DATE of Saturday August 23rd & JOIN US!
This event will be limited to 100-120 tickets for friends of Amore & will be held at the South Canterbury Savage Club Hall located just around the road from the Amore Food Shop & Cafe at 14 Dee St.
You decide what level you want to participate in this event on the night of 23rd August & the lead up to it with any or all of the below:
1. Attend & participate in the dances/games, bring a supper plate to share on the night - RSVP numbers by 2nd August
2. Attend & participate in the dances/games, bring a supper plate to share on the night & learn some of the dances (taught by Kelly in the weekends leading up to the night at the Leigh Marsden Holistic Health Centre including ballroom, latin, line, square, sequence, folk & group dances), so you can join Kelly & hit the dance floor with flair on the night & show everyone how it's done. Kelly will post details for the dance lessons leading up to the night in the discussion thread on this event.
3. Attend & participate in the dances/games, bring a supper plate to share on the night & practise a wee performance for the night to share your talent. You can either perform on your own or with a group of friends/family & sing a song, read a poem, tell a joke (family friendly), play an instrument, perform a short skit, lip sync your favourite tune, share any other talent you may have. (Time will be limited to 5-10 minutes max for each performance). You will need to contact Kelly asap with your performance details so she can pop you on the DJ list for the night.
As you can probably guess there is going to be alot to organise so if you want to go on the volunteer list to help set up the hall, help with decorations, be on the door, help in the kitchen or anything else we need please contact Kelly also either at the Amore Food Shop or on 027 644 0745.
Together, lets make this the best event ever in South Canterbury this winter!
