About the event

A Day to Celebrate 100 Years - Past Present & Future of Rural Women New Zealand
Join us as we celebrate a century of empowering rural women and communities.

As part of our centennial celebrations, we are celebrating the remarkable contributions of rural women, from advocacy and leadership to community development. Enjoy celebrating this milestone event with us while you connect with fellow members and supporters.

Rural Women New Zealand has been at the forefront of championing the rights and needs of rural communities for 100 years, advocating for sustainable development and fostering connections among women in rural areas. Together, let’s honour our past and look forward to a vibrant future.

Let’s make history together!

Treasures of the Past High Tea

Join us to kick off our centennial events of 2025-26 with a High Tea and a trip down memory lane - be it looking through memorabilia or catching up with friends from near & far

With doors opening at 1.30pm, a glass of bubbles on arrival, this afternoon will be one to remember.

An evening with Laura from Real Country

This evening event starts at 6.30pm (doors opening at 5.30pm) and includes a sit down buffet meal, a presentation from our guest speaker Laura Koot and the opportunity to ask her questions about Real Country & The Fairlight Foundation

"Laura Koot left her corporate career to establish Real Country in 2016, an agritourism business showcasing rural New Zealand through farm shows and workshops. Despite losing everything during the pandemic, she co-founded The Fairlight Foundation in 2020, a 12-month internship program advancing women into rural leadership roles. Real Country is now thriving, and Laura balances her roles as Executive Director, business owner, mother, and community advocate, winning the 2023 Innovation Award at the NZI Rural Women Business Awards and being a finalist in the Primary Industry New Zealand Awards"
