This four-week series introduces you to the foundational movements, posture, and group formations that make this dance form so timeless and empowering.
What is FatChanceBellyDance®Style?
FatChanceBellyDance®Style (FCBD®Style) is a modern group improvisational dance form built on shared vocabulary, strong technique, and deep connection. Dancers use this common language to perform together without choreography—creating spontaneous, synchronized dance in the moment. Rooted in earthy posture, expressive arms, and powerful group formations, FCBD®Style celebrates community, communication, and the joy of dancing with others.
This series is open to everyone—complete beginners, experienced movers, dancers from other styles, or returning students wanting a fresh look at the foundations. We’ll move slowly and intentionally, giving you time to embody each shape, understand transitions, and feel the joy of dancing with a group.
You’ll finish the series feeling aligned, inspired, and ready for your next steps in FCBD®Style.
