2025 Around the Town

The Around the Town event hosted by the Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Heidelberg University and Tiffin University in downtown Tiffin on Sunday, August 24 from 12:30 to 2 PM. We are still working to lock in the location for this year's event. As soon as we know, you will know. You can begin setting up at 11:45 AM and you must be fully set up by 12:15 PM.

The Around the Town event gives incoming and returning students the opportunity to become familiar with the businesses and organizations that make up Seneca County. In previous years, nonprofit organizations have been successful in recruiting volunteers from the universities at this event. During the event, registered businesses and organizations set up a booth to showcase their products and services to the university students. The students, along with campus leaders, walk to the event from their respective campuses.

If you are new to this event, in previous years we've had more than 1,000 students at this event. We stagger the two universities to allow you more time to engage with individual students and reduce the large crowds.

Anything that you can do to be more engaging to draw in students to your area is highly encouraged. The amount of effort in your booth/activity truly makes a difference. Don't be afraid to step outside of your area and engage the students
