The Thurmont Police Department is excited to host National Night Out 2025!
The event will be Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 6:00pm until 7:30pm at the Thurmont Police Department.
National Night Out was established in 1984 by the National Association of Town Watch. While the traditional “lights on” and front porch vigils remain a part of the National Night Out, activities have expanded considerably over the years. National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
This event is also a perfect opportunity to get to know your neighbors, the Thurmont Police Department, other local Emergency Services, and various Community Organizations!
There will be Live Music, Free Food, Police, Fire & EMS Vehicle Displays, Information Booths about Various Community Organizations, Pony Rides, a Bounce House, Giveaways, and More!
