The MOTH: Short Film Screening Event

The Thunder Bay Art Gallery is thrilled to co-present the Northern Ontario premiere of the film The Moth (2025), by Thunder Bay filmmakers Michelle Derosier and Zoe Gordon.

It's 2039 in Omagakii First Nation. The land has been consumed by lithium mines and 100,000 tonnes of buried nuclear waste. An Ogichidaa-Kwe survives in isolation, loving, and resisting as the world sickens around her. Michelle Derosier is Anishinaabe from Migisi Sahgaigan First Nation in Treaty 3 territory in Northern Ontario, Canada.

Following the film, this special event will include a panel including the filmmakers, actors, and community activists as part of a Community Conversation.
