In this workshop we'll be creating a large spiderweb bowl in white, black, or any other colour that we have in stock. This project would make an excellect candy bowl for the upcoming Halloween season.
This technique class focuses on cutting long, thin strips. Previous glass cutting experience is not required, though it is recommended. Cutting strips of glass can be very frustrating!
All tools, materials, and equipment will be supplied.
For safety reasons, long pants and closed toe shoes must be worn. Please be aware that grinders will be used in this class, making noise that some participants find uncomfortable. Limited noise protection will be available, and participants are encouraged to bring their own protection for maximum comfort.
After the workshop the glass will be kiln-fired and assembled with a metal display stand for your convenience. You will be able to pick up your finished artwork at the Canvas & Clay storefront.
Skill level: Beginner, some experience recommended
Ages: 12+ This is a family-friendly event. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Parking is available on Victoria Ave East.
