Underground Railroad Presentation

If you haven't heard, I'm doing a presentation on the Underground Railroad of Jefferson County, New York. Sunday, July 20th, at 2:00PM, at the Lyme Heritage Center, Three Mile Bay. It is in the old Grange Hall. There is no cost to attend.

"The Underground Railroad, in the United States, was a system existing in the Northern states before the Civil War by which escaped slaves from the South were secretly helped by sympathetic Northerners, in defiance of the Fugitive Slave Acts, to reach places of safety in the North or in Canada."
