David Clark Book Launch

David Clark will be in conversation with Clara Weatherall about his debut novel, set in the beautiful landscape and changing seasons of south west Scotland,

When a series of art thefts sweeps across their home region, three people are drawn together in an unfolding mystery, creating new possibilities for each of them. In one tumultuous year, bereaved GP Andrew Carlyle Stuart, work-obsessed academic Michael Gilmour and struggling musician Anne-Marie Maxwell go on a journey of surprise and discovery.

Epiphanies and Robberies is a feel-good story interwoven with bigger questions about sustainability, rural communities, working life, and personal relationships.

There is also an exhibition in our gallery to accompany the book launch. It features prints, originals and cards by Louisa Birdsall. Lousia illustrated and designed the cover of David's book. She is also actively pursuing a career in book illustration.

This event is free and is part of Thomas Tosh's Summer Books 2025 series of events and exhibitions.
