Shoal Lily Paddle Trips - 2025

Join a Flint Riverkeeper tradition of going for a paddle through the Fall Line amongst the Shoal Spider Lilies!

TWO TRIPS ARE OFFERED, on Saturday we will paddle 4 miles in class 1-2 water and this trip is appropriate for new paddlers or those preferring to stay in calmer waters. On Sunday we will traverse Yellow Jacket Shoals adding an additional 2 miles to the trip and class 2-3 water. This trip is designed for paddlers with more experience and able to spend a full day on the river.

Cancellation/Reschedule Policy: This trip is subject to cancellation/reschedule on short notice due to dangerous weather or flow conditions. All reasonable efforts will be made by Flint Riverkeeper to contact participants if cancellation/reschedule occurs.

Shoal Spider Lilies - Traditionally the lilies are blooming well by Mother's Day but this is subject to the flows and weather conditions of the year. We can not guarantee the peak of the bloom will not occur before or after the scheduled dates.

Saturday participants will meet Flint Riverkeeper at Pobiddy Rd Access at 9am and plan for a finish time of 2pm.

Sunday participants will meet Flint Riverkeeper at Pobiddy Rd. Access at 9am and plan for a finish time of 5pm.

Participants on both trips should dress for the weather and wear shoes that fit securely around the heel, no flip flops! Pack snacks, lunch, and water for the day. Don't forget your sunglasses, sunscreen, and bug spray!
