Join us for one of our fall rides:

2 gravel choices: rambles, or scrambles on gravel (Gramble). The Rosewood 29-mile Gramble and the Rosewood 100K Gramble

3 paved routes: the 30 mile-Rosewood 30, our Sweet Nineteen-mile route in honor of our retired Sweet Sixteen route. All routes have been changed with the start and end location at River and Rails Brewing. For those folks looking for a lower mileage ride we have the Lucky 7 route, a tour of Thief River Falls that will take you through 6 roundabouts in 6.8 miles. Holy roundabout density!

There will be a rest stop for the 29-mile Gramble at mile 17.5 at the historic Rosebank School near our ride’s namesake of Rosewood. This is the same rest stop that will be used for the Rosewood 30 loop, and it will also be on the 100K Gramble route. Water, snacks, and a portable bathroom will be available at the school.

For riders on the 100K Gramble, we can deliver your resupply choices and have them ready halfway through at the Bethlehem Church. They have outdoor restrooms, a picnic shelter and water (hand pump) available behind the church. Both gravel routes will take on former beach ridges of Glacial Lake Agassiz, minimum maintenance roads, a bit of trail, sand, grass, brick/cobbles, maybe some mud, and this year will take in part of the historic Jefferson memorial highway. Here’s a link to a blog post by BikeMN’s Ted Duepner about last years 100K Gramble- https://www.bikemn.org/riding-the-rosewood-gramble-100k-gravel-route/

The 100K-mile route is for those more self-sufficient. Minimal support will be provided for the gravel routes with emergency sweep/sag and painted markings on the gravel. GPS routes and cue sheets will be available for downloading and printing for all bike routes and during registration. We’ll also have printed copies of maps and cue sheets available on the day of the ride.

The Rosewood 30-mile course will take you on quiet paved county roads in Pennington and Marshall County that will pass near Rosewood. There will be a rest stop at mile fifteen at the former Rosebank School. Play the piano, ring the bell, grab a snack, water, and take a bathroom break if needed.

The Sweet 19 route will follow part of the Rosewood 30 route before looping back to the starting point. The 30- and 19-mile routes will have signs marking turns. GPS routes will also be available to download and follow.

All rides will begin and end at Rivers and Rails Brewing, 324 2 nd St. E., Thief River Falls, MN.

Registration and check-in for the rides will begin at 7:45 am at Rivers and Rails Brewing. Riders taking in the shorter rides can check-in up to ½ hour before their ride begins.

Start time for the rides are: The 100K Gramble gravel event at 8 am or as close to it as possible. The 29-mile Gramble will roll at 9:00 am and Rosewood 30 and Sweet Nineteen paved routes at 10 am. Lucky 7 riders can start at 11 am and do more than one lap if they’re feeling lucky!

For riders staying overnight the Americinn has reserved a block of 10 rooms under Rosewood Gramble 2025 that will be available until September 5. Call 218 681-4411 for reservations.
