Join us at Buckingham Lodge Care Home to mark the 80th anniversary of VJ Day with a heartfelt and vibrant community event.
This special day will honour those who served, support the RAF Benevolent Fund, and showcase the warmth, care, and spirit of our community.
✨ What’s On:
🎤 Live Music by Lucy Short (11:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
Kick off the day with live music from local favourite Lucy Short — the perfect tribute to those we remember.
🪖 Memory Hub – Explore wartime stories from local RAF veterans, view displays and leave your own message on our Memory Wall.
🍔 Charity BBQ – Enjoy a delicious meal for just £3 per plate. Hosted by our head chef with support from local volunteers. All proceeds go to the RAF Benevolent Fund.
🎪 Traditional Village Games – Hook-a-duck, tin can alley, coconut shy, tombola, splat the rat, ring toss, lucky dip, bean bag toss — fun for all ages!
🎭 Live Performances & Demos –
